Responding Safely To an Emergency Service Incident
The public services use a variety of different vehicles to respond to situations. Before any member of a public service is allowed to drive/ride on of these vehicles they must undergo an advanced driving course.
Examples of public service vehicles:
- Armed response vehicles
- 4x4 off road vehicles
- Police Motorbikes
- Police bomb disposal
- Riot vans
- Police cars; Unmarked and mark high performance vehicles
- Normal police ‘Panda’ car – medium sized used for patrol work
- Fire trucks
- Ambulances
- Paramedic motorcycles
